While reading it, I was shocked for what I didn’t know. However, because of peoples’s curiosity, (as everyone assumed I should know, since I am a Chinese) I read a book about Chairman. All I knew was he won the war, united China and of course, the negative consequence of the Culture Revolution. I was born in the 80’s, Mao was no longer popular icon when I grew up. It was so interesting how many people are interested asking me all the questions about Mao when I am in the U.S., especially at the UGA. My dinner guest– well, I would like to choose Chairman Mao.
